Kevin Roche

As the result of a nationwide search, Kevin joined ecomaine as general manager in 2004. He has 16 years of experience in solid waste management including Director of Solid Waste for Broome County (New York), Materials Recovery Administrator for the City of Glendale (Arizona), Manager for Metro Waste (Rochester, NY), Owner of MRF, Inc., a recycling facility in Rochester, New York, and Solid Waste Coordinator for both Monroe County and the City of Rochester (New York). Kevin is a 1989 graduate of the University of Buffalo, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in geography and urban planning. He also holds an associate degree in business administration.
Eric Doane

Eric's broad responsibilities at ecomaine include the management of human resources, insurance, computer systems, and all financial matters. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 25 years of business experience and, before coming to ecomaine in 2009, was regional controller for a major telephone company. He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration..
Kevin A. Trytek

Kevin is a 1986 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering operations. He is also an ASME qualified chief/operator. Kevin came to ecomaine in 1987 after employment at a biomass generation facility in Lewiston. He is responsible for overall operation and maintenance of the ecomaine waste-to-energy plant and is a key participant in the senior management team.

Cathy McLeod

Cathy officially joined ecomaine in July 2009, after more than three months working on a special project as a temporary employee. She has a variety of business skills due to her previous work experience, including several years at Corning, Inc. Cathy earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine and is currently studying for a Bachelor degree in Managerial Accounting.

Shelley Dunn

Shelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Ohio University with a major in history and government and a minor in English. She joined ecomaine in 2005 with more than 20 years of professional public relations and writing experience, all in Maine. Her previous employment includes an inter-state utility, advertising agency, multi-state commercial bakery, and national non-profit organization. Her work has been recognized by local, state and national awards for public relations excellence.

Anne Hewes

Anne joined ecomaine in 2007 and is responsible for continuous improvement in environmental protection for its ashfill/landfill site, waste-to-energy plant, and recycling facility. She earned a B.A. in Geology from Skidmore College, M.S. in Environmental Science & Management from New Mexico Highlands University, and Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England, with a dissertation focus of industrial ecology and the reuse of waste materials.
Hewes has 20 years of experience including Harding ESE, F.M. Beck, Inc. and, as an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Science, University of Southern Maine.
Mark Maritato

Mark joined ecomaine in 2008 with 23 years consulting experience in environmental toxicology (human health and ecological risk assessment), environmental chemistry and regulatory compliance. As a technical consultant his work has included waste-to-energy facilities, paper companies, hazardous waste sites, and landfill investigations. He holds a BS in Natural Resources Management from the University of Maine (Orono) and has pursued classes in chemical engineering from Northeastern University (Boston).

Tom Raymond, PE

Tom is a Licensed Professional Engineer and Licensed Surveyor with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Southern Maine (USM). He also studied environmental engineering at USM and mining engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Tom, who joined ecomaine in 2007, has more than 35 years of experience, including projects where he was responsible for landfill operations, groundwater monitoring, stormwater analysis, and sewer and water mains. He is responsible for ecomaine's 240-acre site in South Portland and Scarborough, which contains a $6.9 million state-of-the-art ashfill/landfill cell built in 2006.

Bud Waldron

Bud joined ecomaine in 2005, however, through his employment with ecomaine's former landfill/ashfill contractor, has been responsible for supervising the site's operation for 28 years. Since 1993, he has earned and maintained his Manager of Landfill Operations certification from the Solid Waste Association of North America.

Calvin Joiner

Cal completed a four-year apprenticeship program at Tampa Electric Company, where he worked for ten years before joining ecomaine in 1988. As maintenance supervisor, he oversees ecomaine mechanics, equipment operators, an electrician, the warehouse, instrument and control technicians, and the scale house. In 1995, Cal was instrumental in establishing a computerized preventative maintenance program at ecomaine.
Diane Doane

Diane earned an Associate Degree in business from Westbrook College and has continued her education with business-related courses, such as communication courses at the University of Southern Maine. As office manager, her primary responsibilities involve employee management and insurance issues. Diane joined ecomaine in 1979.

David Alexander

David, who has been with ecomaine since 1988, is an ASME certified resource recovery facility chief operator/shift supervisor and a Maine licensed stationary engineer. He is a former machinery technician 2nd class petty officer with the U.S. Coast Guard and has continued his education with classes in diesel engines (Cummins and Detroit), damage control, firefighting, and water treatment (Betz).

Michael Bruce

Michael is a 1986 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering and minored in psychology. He is licensed by the United States Coast Guard as a third engineer (steam and motor) and by the State of Maine as a first class stationary engineer, and also has a firefighting certificate. Michael has been with ecomaine since 1989 and is a certified ASME qualified resource recovery facility chief operator/shift supervisor
David Charest

David is a 1992 graduate from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications. He joined ecomaine in 1994 with five years of engineering experiencewith CMP at Wyman Station - a 780+ megawatt power plant. David is a certified ASME qualified resource facility operator/shift supervisor and holds a State of Maine first class stationary engineer license. He also served four years in the US Navy as an aviator fire control technician specializing in avionics on the F-14 (Tomcat) fighter jet and as a plane captain on the FA-18 (Hornet) fighter jet.

Brian Del Camp

Brian graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering and a minor in nuclear engineering. He joined ecomaine after seven years of engineering experience and has been with ecomaine since 1988. Brian is a certified ASME qualified resource recovery facility operator/shift supervisor and is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as a 1st class assistant engineer for steam and 2nd class engineer for motor vessels (unlimited horsepower).

Mark Dolloff

As operations supervisor, Mark is responsible for employee safety training, which occurs weekly at ecomaine. He is an OSHA certified trainer for general industry, a licensed Maine first class stationary engineer, and an ASME qualified resource operator. In addition, Mark graduated from Central Maine Technical College in 1984 with an Associate Degree in power engineering. He has been with ecomaine since 1988.
Melissa Labbe

Missi came to ecomaine in 2001 after 9 years of business office experience and five years of experience as an account executive. Missi earned an Associate degree in business administration from Husson College and after 2.5 years as Recycling Coordinator for ecomaine, she was promoted in 2007 to Business Development Manager. Missi is responsible for developing, marketing and managing new programs and accounts both inside and outside the ecomaine membership.

Alison McCrady

Alison is well prepared to help municipalities and businesses with recycling programs and cost-based analysis. She has managed municipal solid waste for Norway-Paris and the Boothbay region, and is a former president of the board of Maine Resource Recovery Association. In addition to her years of experience, Alison has a Bachelor of Science degree in botany from Idaho State University and a Master's degree in public administration from the University of Maine (Orono). She joined ecomaine in 2007.

John Morin

John Morin came to ecomaine as Recycling Facility Supervisor in 2007and promoted to manager in 2008. With 16 years of experience in recycling and waste operations with facilities similar in size to ecomaine's, he was a natural choice for the position. In addition, he has OSHA certifications for hazardous waste, special waste and transfer station operator, and is certified for forklift instruction. He is responsible for the $3.7 million state-of-the-art, single-sort equipment that began operation in May 2007 and for the sale of all processed recycled material on the open market. John is an Auburn native and current resident.

Lynne Trufant

Lynne graduated from Westbrook College with an Associate Degree in business administration and, also, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Husson College in business administration. She is a Certified Professional Secretary and has more than 20 years of executive secretarial experience in banking and insurance. Lynne joined ecomaine in 2005.

John Pardi

John has been with ecomaine since 1981 and had experience as both the superintendent of recycling and of landfill before his current responsibility for major projects. He has earned certificates in electronics and automotive skills, and was a special equipment repairman in the Air Force for four years. The waste-to-energy facility's carbon injection system, its urea system, and electrostatic precipitator were all installed under John's management.

Tony Dicentes

Tony has been with ecomaine since 1979 and is responsible for the entire management of maintenance crafts and warehouse operations for all three facilities. In 1995 he implemented a comprehensive computerized preventative maintenance program. Tony has taken courses in subjects that include fluid power (Leens), basic boiler operation (SMVTI), electricity, landfill operations training (GPCOG), successful accident investigation (MSC), confined space supervisor training (MEMIC), and management (USM).
