Shapleigh Community Day
Join your neighbors for Shapleigh’s beloved annual celebration, a two-day summer tradition that brings the whole community together at Shapleigh Commons Park, right next to Town Hall.
Kick things off Friday evening with free live music in the gazebo while you grab a bite from local food trucks. Then come back Saturday for the main event, starting with a parade that winds from Knox Road down Back Road to Shapleigh Corner, setting the festive tone for a full day of fun.
After the parade, explore vendors featuring local crafters and farmers, enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides, and exotic animal encounters, and let the kids loose in the bounce house. The Shapleigh Public Library holds its annual book sale, and the First Baptist Church hosts their yard sale. Throughout the day, a silent auction raises funds for the Community Day Scholarship, supporting Shapleigh residents pursuing college or trade education.
Stop by the ecomaine table to learn about recycling, composting, and waste reduction resources available to York County residents.
